 Calls dropping in the field

I own a home services company and my phone line seems to do okay while i am in my home office with Wifi but I seem to have connectivity issues while in the field. I have calls drop when i try to answer them, and then when I try to return the call it says it cannot connect to the 8x8 work phone and cannot make a call from the work app. I have had issues with another provider too so I am wondering if there are settings on my phone that need to be changed. I assume that a VoIP line should be reliable in the field? I use T mobile 5G network for my cellular data.

Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated.

Hi Tom,

Sorry to hear the trouble you’re experiencing out in the field. How’s your cell phone coverage in the area when you’re attempting to make calls?

Couple thoughts to try to isolate this issue further:

- Use the Smart Connectivity Tool within the mobile app to check the quality of your network connection. This video provides a brief overview: How to Use 8x8 Smart Connectivity Test

- Using another T-Mobile cell phone with the 8x8 Mobile App to see if that makes a difference.

Let me know how this goes. I’m interested to hear your thoughts.
