  • 1.  Stopping recording when taking a web payment

    Hi All

    Not sure if this is allowed. Oak Innovation have developed an app that integrates with the CC API. It will stop and start the 8x8 recordings when visiting or exiting specified web pages, for example and web based payment portal. It doesn't deal with the full requirements needed to be PCI compliant but it can ensure 8x8 recordings don't contain sensitive card details.

    Thank you for contributing to the 8x8 Community.

    8x8 recognises the potential value of Oak's integration, but as 8x8 is not a PCI Qualified Security Assessor, we are not able to say whether or not this would make the customer's solution compliant.  We are not permitted to make any comment on anyone's PCI compliance solution other than our own PCI payment collection product "Securepay". The PCI standards require that only the merchant (8x8's customer) or the merchant's QSA perform this risk assessment.
