I'm new to 8x8 and currently leading a global rollout of the UCaaS platform (focused on calling only). One small challenge is E911 compliance-particularly in the US-where users are required to keep their emergency location up to date as they move between offices, home, or other remote locations.
I'm aware of Nomadic E911, but given the number of sites we operate, I'm trying to keep things as simple and manageable as possible.
An #EnhancementRequestI'd strongly support would be a simple pop‑up when 8x8 Work is first launched each day, prompting users to check and confirm their emergency location.
This feels like a small change that 8x8 developers should quite easily be able to implement, and it would be highly effective-especially for users who move between offices, home, or other remote locations and may otherwise forget to update their details.
Has anyone implemented anything similar themselves using the 8x8 APIs? I did explore creating a lightweight app to launch the account settings page, but even the direct link https://user-profile.8x8.com/user-profile?on=noHeader doesn't deep‑link to the emergency location setting itself.
Any ideas or workarounds (or even support for this to appear in the development roadmap) would be appreciated.
