Hello.....

Our company gets LOTS of spam calls. This may have been requested before but can we request the ability to block external numbers (including blocks of numbers) on a group-wide corporate level and not just individually.

I second that request. It would be a lot easier for an admin to block a known problem number company-wide, than for every user to create a blocked caller rule.

Hi Richard. Thanks for sharing this feedback. We understand how frustrating spam calls can be, especially when they impact your whole organization.

At the moment, call blocking can only be managed at the individual user level, and there isn't a company-wide blocking feature available. That said, your request makes perfect sense and aligns with feedback we've heard from other customers. We've shared your suggestion with our product team so it can be considered for future development.

We appreciate you taking the time to raise this. Input like yours helps us identify where we can make the biggest improvements.

Hi Susan, please add the Law Society of Ontario to that Blocking feature.  It is desperately needed for us as well.

Same with Hanger Inc. This would be helpful for us too. 

We also want to see this feature implemented.  Blocking calls for all extensions is unnecessarily cumbersome.

Does every 8x8 customer need to reply to this thread to give this feature the attention it deserves?  With the uptick of SPAM calls in general, requesting a company-wide SPAM filter and call block would not only benefit business continuity, but upon implementation, would be an excellent selling point for 8x8.  

As an admin, I have also asked 8x8 for a companywide call block.

I raised this point nearly a year ago. I mean great that you're actually doing something about (for what is an obvious feature) but the uncertainty of even a 2027 timeline doesn't sound like you're giving it much support.       

Hello @Richard Sice!  I totally get why it feels that way. Waiting this long for a feature to ship can definitely make it seem like it's not a priority for us, but I want to assure you that it is. These things take time to get right, and we're committed to delivering it.

We've also recently introduced a new prioritization system that gives community-driven feature requests more visibility and weight in our planning process, so feedback like yours directly influences the priority on projects since we hear it directly from the customer.

Because of this, please keep the feedback coming!  We truly appreciate you :)
