 Poly VVX D230 DECT Phones not registering with the 8x8 service

We have a site that utilise two 8x8 supplied Poly VVX D230 DECT phones.  They have been working fine since we went live with 8x8 in October 2021, but stopped working on Friday afternoon (UK time) around the time 8x8 posted an outage on physical endpoints (Status Page for 8x8 Service Status powered by StatusCast).  This site also had a brief power outage during the day so we are unsure whether either event is related to this problem starting.  Other wired Poly endpoints at this site are fine, although we note they use a different provisioning URL.  We have a fault reported with 8x8, but having trouble progressing the issue.  Under instruction from support we have unregistered and registered the phone (https://support.8x8.com/equipment-devices/phones/polycom/Register%2F%2FUnregister%2F%2FReset_a_Poly_DECT_D230_handset); followed a guide to activate the phone  (https://support.8x8.com/cloud-phone-service/voice/voice-administration-account-manager/phone-system/devices/how-do-i-activate-my-cordless-ip-dect-phones) and a specific guide to configuring a D230 -  https://support.8x8.com/equipment-devices/phones/polycom/how-to-provision-polycom-vvx-d230-through-the-web-gui.  The devices have been tried on a separate network with no firewall blocking.  Anyone else had trouble with this model of phone?

I waited 24 hours and they registered but now I am not able to log in to the web gui, to do anything...

Our issue is now resolved.  In the end we found that using the reset pin hole on the base station resolved our problem albeit that we'd avoided using that as its undocumented as far as the 8x8 guides are concerned.  This was also not mentioned when talking to support.  Hope this may help someone else.
