 Echos when using MacOS desktop app

I would like to use the desktop app (it works better with AI scribes) but have a hard time hearing other callers due to echoing of their voices.  Have had this consistently in several places with good to great wifi connections.

I found a help article for echo on the mobile app which mentions a setting for echo cancelling but don't see a setting for this on MacOS app.

Not sure what you need.  I'm on a Macbook Air with up to date version of MacOS 15.  Version Version: 8.16.3 (2) of your MacOS app.

Happens with cellular minutes, cellular data, or on several Wi-Fi networks.

Happens with Macbook speakers and with Airpods.

Has been going on for weeks or more, I rarely used the desktop app before trying to use the AI scribe with it.
