Hi Steve,
I don't think the beep comes from there - the ringing tone comes from Teams and i have manage to change that
'Bounce' starts sofly/quietly -
But then there is a harsher BEEP that signal the actual start of the call/interaction ie when call recording also starts and the two parties are connected and can hear each other - its that one that is always at the same frequency, is louder and in some cases can be heard through the headphones of the agents next to me when then get a call. I think that must be standard somewhere but I can't seem to find it - I think it might be 8x8 because its precisely when the recording starts.

Subject: Incoming Call Beeps - Hearing Loss - Volume Frequency - Tones
hi Jeremy. Very interesting insight. I'm glad you put some light on this for the rest of us. So, you probably already thought of this, but is there a way to track down the sound file (.wav, .au, etc) for that alert and replace is with something more benign? Or, is it adjustable in windows alerts?
Or, I appologize if I'm missing the point entirely.

Subject: Incoming Call Beeps - Hearing Loss - Volume Frequency - Tones
Hello,
I read a few interesting articles about small frequency range hearing loss in call centre workers relating to repeated tones (and hearing loss related to repeated tones at the same frequency).
I've tried changing the 'alert' tone in 8x8 working with TEAMS, but even if I do so, the incoming/accepted call call beep seems unable to be changed, and also quite loud compared to the call.
Is there any way to manage this? Systematically move the frequency around? Have a different or softer sound that needn't be so loud?
Also I wondered about a vibration instead as this would be less likely to have the effect.
Some of the papers I read noted small frequency range loss in 4 years!
Its four years since COVID people! :-o
Advice welcome! !!!!
