Having user-specific list controls for External Caller ID selection is essential for smooth operations. Given that 8x8 Contact Center already supports grouping and segregating OB codes, bringing a comparable feature set here would solve a major pain point.

We currently have this exact feature request and it's currently building up a business case.  I have added you two to the feature request to add onto the business case in our internal system so it gets bumped up in terms of priority :)  Please feel free to ask for updates!

Another point, we have something else relevant in the works. We recently started development on a similar feature for Call Parking that restricts accessible extensions based on a user's site. We'd love to understand if a site-based restriction for caller ID selection would help solve your use case, or if you need more granular control at the individual user level.

Let me know if this is good or you would prefer specific user settings.

It's great to hear that you're building a business case on this and that it sits in internal feature requests already, 

To answer your question, our company users have (should have) different levels of access to numbers even within one department so site level solution is not applicable in our case, we need more granular control over what numbers user can see or not, I assume that any company would like to have user specific External Shared ID numbers choice (I would see it as a list of company shared id numbers somewhere in user profile as section - with multiple choice i.e. tick boxes to grant access or revoke access/visibility of a specific number for this user).
