Hello All...I am an express user and recently received an email from 8x8 saying "
Starting Nov 1, 2022, 8x8 Express licenses will no longer be able to send Business SMS and MMS. "
The term "Business SMS and MMS" has me confused. My usage of 8x8 is very limited. I just use one 8x8 phone number for calls and sending/receiving individual text messages. In other words, I am not sending any mass/multi-recipient text messages via my 8x8 account.
Does anyone know if this communication from 8x8 is telling me that I will not be able to send/receive ANY text messages from my account as of 11/1...or is this referring to some sort of business mass texting capability that is being eliminated?
