Since October, the Download Course PDF (Course Outline) (Example link https://www.8x8.com/university/catalog/contact-center-admin-config-self-paced) has not functioned. Bug was logged C4788172 Oct 30 2023, yet you still cannot download an outline. ON the ticket was I sent all the course outlines, but no one bothered to fix the actual problem.

I do not want to be the point of contact for course outlines in my company, I want my colleagues to be able to download, review and decide if they need to do the courses themselves.

What has your experience been / timeframes on 8x8 fixing bugs?

    Hah!

The only bugs I report now are P1's; my colleagues keep trying but it's definitely a last resort when a workaround can be found.

I suspect this one isn't high priority as they're moving over to the new VCC admin "this year" and switching the last bits over to microservices.

They say that once everything is on microservices they will be able to be more responsive to "low priority" bugs and change requests.

    We will see!

Does this not fall into the content management/web site admin area of the organisation rather than the same developers who work on Admin Console, maybe they are the same?

My own experience of the most significant bugs stem from being a migrated customer from Account Manager to Admin Console, not discounting the 10+ major bugs I've raised unrelated to the migration.

Lets hope whatever changes are coming don't impact us in the same way as we're still dealing with hangover issues since migration over 18 months later.

I personally hope this "new world" of microservices brings a specific focus on robust unit testing and quality control that help make a SaaS platform what I expect it to be, reliable and working to documented standards.

I mean, there's bugs that affect 1 or 2 users and bugs that affect everyone. In a previous life we aimed to resolve global low priority bugs as they affected... all our customers. Oh well.
