Hey Jeff,
Once you delete it from the ring group, it will be available to add in the details section of the auto attendant. and i believe that is correct, DND just stops the phone from ringing but doesn't immediately send the call to voicemail.

Also when I DND on desk set using soft key, it still forces the caller to hear ring after ring instead of going right to VM?

Hey Jeff,
That's not what DND should be used for. All you need to do is log into Admin Console, remove your main number from the ring group and add it to the Auto Attendant. The ring group probably has the default setting that if no one is available, calls should go to the ring group voicemail box.

1.) *78 DND System wide command we want AA to pick up immediately with no rings - instead it goes to a generic ring group voice mail box. We are trying to save callers time sending all calls right to the AA. Anyone know how to do this? 8x8 not helping!
