  • 1.  Audit Logs Accessibility Is An Essential Tool to Admins

Anyone from 8x8 Support here who can shed light with Audit Logs not being available for Contact Center?
This support article does not address the needs of admins -   Are Audit Logs available for Contact Center?

This is unacceptable. How can we identify and troubleshoot who made what and when? This is a basic functionality of a service that should be enabled and available for system admins.

To name a few, SaaS vendors below have this fundamental feature available and the docs are publicly available.

    GENESYS

    ZOOM

    MICROSOFT TEAMS

How can we request for this essential functionality to be enabled?

    Hi Rommel,

We do not currently have an audit log for Contact Center but it is on the roadmap with no ETA. VCC is undergoing a major UI-driven rework that will be powered by APIs which will enable us to create audit logs in a seamless way.

For UC, you can find the audit log in the section of the admin console  (https://admin.8x8.com/tasks).

    Hi Christian,

That Tasks link is useful to see user uploads and bulk edits but what I would want is a more comprehensive audit log for the UC product.
We would want to be able to see who changed specific values on a user or who added or deleted a user. Since we have a large number of users in our service desk who have access to admin functions, we need that audit to be able to figure out who made incorrect settings so we can address training issues. There is also no way for us to see if users have set up their voicemail boxes or if an account has been inactive. Other products I have used have this function built in and it is very handy.

So there is an "Audit Events" interface that is available but you have to beg to get it turned on in your environment.   It's not perfect (doesn't really highlight what was changed but it at least let's you know something was changed and by whom).
