    Hello all.  I was curious if anyone could help clarify the email that was sent by 8x8 two weeks ago saying that "8x8 Express licenses will no longer be able to send Business SMS and MMS" as of 11/1.

    Specifically, would someone be able to help me understand what exactly "Business SMS" is?  Is this a mass-texting capability for businesses or just everyday SMS texting using your 8x8 number?

    I use my 8x8 number to have numerous one-on-one SMS conversations...and I am confused whether that capability is going to disappear after 11/1.

    I appreciate any guidance from this forum.  I tried to initiate a case with the 8x8 team...but have realized that 8x8 Express does not even offer the ability to submit a case.

    Hello,

    Business SMS is the ability to receive and send individual text with your 8x8 number. MMS refers to the ability to send and receive multimedia. 

    I do see there's a support article which refers to your issue with the resolution being an upgrade to X Series.
