    Some of our users are experiencing bad reception issues when trying to make calls through 8x8 work application that makes it impossible for them to make calls.

    Welcome to 8x8 =/

    We get SO MANY call quality calls. Most of the time when we log an issue, the 8x8 engineer cannot help as they only keep the logs for 3-5 days apparently, and by the time the problem calls to get them, the logs don't exist anymore. Otherwise it's always an issue on our side... somewhere.

    Hi Ben,
    It's my understanding that the availability of the full call trace is actually 3-5hrs which makes this process nearly impossible to manage in most cases.

    That might explain why we can never get decent feedback on the issues 🤷🏼

    Could 8x8 please confirm how long call logs are retained for review?

    Hi Ben, unfortunately, there isn't a definitive answer on how long call logs are kept. It will depend on how many calls you make; the more calls, the quicker the overwrite will be.  Carriers require all call samples to be within the last 24 hours.  Sorry I can't provide an exact answer, but I hope that helps.

    Have you tried the web version as well as the actual application to see if it that makes a difference?

    Also run the network utility test tool to see if that picks up any issues with network configuration. We have an active/active network and found issues when calls were using both links so had to change to using a single one.

    I'd also log with 8x8 support.

    Hi Andrew,

    sorry to hear this.

    Call Quality issues may have many root causes ranging from an app issue to a networking issue or even a carrier issue.

    Considering how broad the root causes are, the best course of action is for you to continue your dialogue with support who will assist in identifying the issue and fix it if it is 8x8 related/ advise on the next steps in case this is not 8x8 related

    Same on a Mac, no end of issues, call delays, call quality etc etc
