An issue has definitely existed since 11/15...and I have raised it to the support team - with no success. This is creating issues for our business.
Beginning 11/15, Verizon customers texting to our 8x8 numbers get the following response "XXX is a landline #. Reply Y to send all TXT messages to this # as voice messages for 0.25/msg.+ std msg fee. Details @ vtext.com, TexttoLandline".
It seems that 8x8 numbers can still send text messages TO Verizon customers...but Verizon customers' texts to 8x8 numbers get rejected with the above message. Prior to 11/15, there was no issue sending texts between these numbers. There is obviously some issue between 8x8 and Verizon. Can someone please investigate this? Thank you.

Hi
There are no known issues with SMS. If you are still receiving reports of an issue please raise a case with our Support team, they will look at examples to investigate the issues you are encountering.
Thankyou

Subject: SMS Not Being Received - Now Calling 8x8 # a "Landline"???

Hello all. Is anyone else hearing this week that SMS messages cannot be sent to them because their 8x8 number is now considered a "landline"?
Beginning Tuesday 11/15, I have heard from multiple customers of mine (who I have texted with for many months without issue) that they suddenly cannot send SMS messages to me...but their messages now get kicked back to them saying that my number is a "landline".
Again, this suddenly started happening on 11/15. Anyone else seen this?
8x8 Team...can you all help?
Thank you
