  • 1.  I cannot receive any phone calls to my work number!

    After having a very quiet week last week, I tested calling my work number - only for the "The number you have called has not been recognised". Yet I can still call out with the number.

    I created a ticket last night, yet it has been ignored and over 18 hours have now passed with zero response, I tried calling them, yet only on hold for nearly an hour with no answer - which I have unfortunately come to expect with 8x8, this is potentially costing my business thousands! Can anyone help?

    Hi Stephen,

    Sorry to hear about this. A couple of questions come to mind which could help:

    • Which client are you using to receive calls? (Desktop app, Mobile app, Deskphone or Web)
    • Confirm call forwarding settings are not sending calls to another destination. 
    • Can you log into another client to see if calls can be received on this?
    • Does this issue happen anywhere else besides your business?
    • Who else in your organization is experiencing this issue?
    • Is there any auto attendants or ring groups in place that are answering calls to this number?
